Welcome to the home of the newest Cowboy Action Shooting club in Southern Illinois, the Kaskaskia Cowboys. We are located in Sparta Illinois and will hold our monthly shoots at the World Shooting and Recreation Complex located just north of Sparta. 

Our monthly meetings are the Tuesday before the second Saturday and held at the Lions Club in Sparta, Il. on West Belmont Street starting at 7:00 PM.
 
Our shooting schedule will be the Second Saturday of each month starting in March 2007 and will have a scheduled shoot each second Saturday there after, year around. Obviously, bad weather could cause some shoots to be canceled, so please check back to this site or the SASS wire when in doubt. 

Our match fees will be $12.00 per shooter and we will be shooting a minimum of 6 stages per shoot. We will start registration at 9:00 am and shoot at 10:00 am. We will shoot 3 stages, break for lunch and then shoot the remaining 3 stages. Lunch will be available at the shooting area. 

Please keep in mind that this is a new facility with very little shade or cover, so come prepared for the weather. 

Our plans are to build permanent props on the shooting stages. We currently have 5 sponsors for props and would welcome any new businesses. We are asking the business to purchase the building materials and members of the Kaskaskia Cowboys will erect the stage props. The business name would also be displayed on the stage. Please give one of us a call if you know of anyone that is interested. 

We are a SASS affiliated club and SASS rules will be followed at the shoots unless specified. The Cowboys have voted to accept the Coyote Cap 93/97 shotgun as an acceptable shotgun for our shoots.
